Security Guard - Toronto

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured, escorting visitors as required.

Monitoring of CCTV equipment, maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients.

 Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment.

Providing assistance to employees, clients and visitors.

Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary.

Conduct walking patrols of the property as needed.

Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor.

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US: 

*Mandatory* - Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.

*Mandatory*– Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate

*Mandatory* – Must be able to obtain a Level I Reliability Clearance (5 Years in Canada)

Must be able to pass the CGL Use of Force Level III class

Ability to stand/sit for a longer period of time.

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

Job type: Full-Time

Hourly Rate of Pay: Starting wage of $22.13 per hour, increasing upon completion of Use of Force certification

Hours of work: Continentals Shift  0900-2100     

Location: 660 Fleet St, Toronto
