INTRODUCTION:
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems
Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
Maintain effective communication
Respond to alarms and calls for assistance and be a member of MDA’s Emergency Response Team
Replace Front Desk staff as needed
Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
Regular interior and exterior foot patrols
Able to operate a computer CCTV system when needed
Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor
WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:
*MANDATORY*Valid Ontario Security Guard License
*MANDATORY*Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
*MANDATORY* – Must be able to obtain a Level I Reliability Clearance (resident in Canada 5 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
*MUST* obtain a Controlled Good Program (CGP) clearance prior to start date
The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
Good understanding of computers
Customer service/reception/administrative skills
The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:
Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.40/ hour
Hours of work: 8 or 12 hour Hours. Must be flexible to work based on site's schedule
