Security Guard - Roving Patrol and Access Control - Borden

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Performing once per shift fire, safety and physical security checks interior and exterior of main depot building. 

Conducting once per shift fire, safety and physical security checks of building and magazine exterior doors equipped with a handle that are located within the depot compound. 

Roving vehicle patrols during specifically designated timings of the Depot compound interior as a whole. 

Ensure strict access control. Check IDs, sign in clients, visitors, and contractors

Providing escort for all Depot cargo loaded vehicles , when so required, while occupying  the Area Compound.

Complete the site reporting requirements

Ensure all CGL Policies and Procedures are maintained and followed

Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are followed and maintained

Other duties as assigned

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

*MUST* Ontario Security Guard License

*MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate

Ability to provide a clean drivers abstract

Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time

Ability to complete frequent patrols

Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset

Excellent customer service and reception skills

The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

*MUST* Have the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history) 

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

Job type: Full-time

Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.40 per hour

Hours of work: Monday to Sunday 1900 to 0700hrs

Location: CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario
