Security Engineer
Position Summary
Netcracker Technology is looking to hire an IT Security Engineer to be part of our Global Security Team, in this position, you will be responsible for the discovery, analysis and support of Netcracker's internal and external Security processes and tools.
Role and Responsibilities
• Support Security Infrastructure – patching, upgrades, platform expansions
• Support SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Support Security Applications – SIEM, EDR, HSM, 2FA, DLP, FTK, etc
• Perform in an on-call rotation – for after-hours issues/maintenance as needed
• Create internal/customer facing documentation, including procedures, solution, architecture diagrams
• Support audit initiatives, providing auditors with the requested information/artifacts, etc
• Support vulnerability management - analyzing vulnerabilities, performing the remediation actions
• Deploy, configure, and manage security applications in alignment with industry best practices
• Collaborating with IT and application teams to integrate security controls
• Automate security processes and tool integrations using scripting and orchestration platforms
• Support initiatives to strengthen Netcracker’s security posture
• Conduct vendor due diligence research, POV’s, and POC’s
Skills and Experience Required
• Technical experience working with Linux, UNIX
• Knowledgeable in IT processes, security concepts and industry best practices
• Ability to create clearly written documentation of processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 3+ years of security engineering, systems administration, or relevant technical experience
• Experience working at a mid or large-sized enterprise IT environment, a plus
• Experience with 2FA, DLP, SIEM, HSM, PAM, PKI, EDR, NDR, IAM, ITAM a plus
• Experience with VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, SCVMM a plus
• Knowledge of networking a plus
• IT/Security related certification, such as Security+, Security X, SSCP, CISSP, desirable
• Fluent English speaker
• Availability to work from the office in hybrid mode
Education
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related major, or equivalent
