Job Description:
The Security Auditor is responsible for performing independent assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls within the IT environment. This role conducts security reviews, performs risk analyses, and identifies weaknesses in system architectures, recommending mitigation strategies to improve overall security posture. The Security Auditor monitors and evaluates systems to ensure compliance with IT security requirements, resilience standards, and dependability guidelines. The position supports continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes and ensures adherence to relevant policies, frameworks, and assessment methodologies.
The Work:
• Perform independent assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls.
• Conduct security reviews and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and architectural weaknesses.
• Recommend mitigation strategies to strengthen system security and reduce identified risks.
• Monitor and evaluate systems for compliance with cybersecurity requirements, standards, and policies.
• Use vulnerability assessment and security testing tools to evaluate system security posture.
• Prepare audit reports, findings, and documentation to communicate assessment results.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to support remediation activities.
• Maintain knowledge of current cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Assist in continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes, policies, and assessment procedures.
• Manage multiple assessment tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Here's what you need:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or 4 years additional equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Security Control Assessor, Security Auditor, or related cybersecurity role.
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools and security testing technologies.
Bonus points if you have:
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity credentials.
• Experience preparing audit findings, POA&Ms, or assessment artifacts is beneficial.
Security Clearance:
• Must be a US citizen (No Dual Citizenship)
• Must possess an active Secret clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$116,900—$243,100 USD
