The Met Office have a requirement for a Security Assurance Coordinator, (SAC), for their new MetSIS Programme of work. The role is to provide Security Assurance across a range of defence-related projects in the Met Office.

What the specialist will work on
The Met Office have a requirement for a Security Assurance Coordinator, (SAC), for their new MetSIS Programme of work. The role is to provide Security Assurance across a range of defence-related projects in the Met Office. The primary work is to write and co-ordinate the assembly of the MetSIS System RMADS as well as liaising with DAIS Accreditors across government and liaison with third-party suppliers to ensure security compliance.
Work setup
Address where the work will take place Met Office HQ, Exeter, Devon.
Working arrangements Onsite 1 day per week (flexibility on this is preferred) with potential for limited off-site working as appropriate. Travel and Expenses to be limited to the Met Office policy (available on request).
Security clearance Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance valid until at least 31/03/2017.
Skills and experience
Essential skills and experience
• Have current and comprehensive familiarity with JSP440
• Have current and comprehensive familiarity with JSP604
• Have current and comprehensive familiarity with DCPP
• Have recent experience of writing RMADS to satisfy requirements as specified in JSP440 & JSP604 and any other relevant Government publication
• Hold Developed Vetting security clearance valid until at least 31/03/2017
• Have recent/current experience of working with and being able to liaise with many DAIS Accreditors across government
• Have recent/current experience of working with and being able to liaise with a number of 3rd party hardware and software suppliers from Government approved procurement channels up to List-X
