JOB DESCRIPTION:
The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. The New York City Police Department strives to foster a safe and fair city through the strategic deployment of resources, focusing on both crime prevention and addressing quality-of-life concerns while building lasting community relationships.
The Transit Bureau-Field Training unit, working closely with NYCT Transit Authority, is responsible for safety and security of passengers who use the NYC subways.
This position will perform clerical work using both manual and computerized systems.

WORK LOCATION:
Hoyt/Schermerhorn Subway Station, Brooklyn 11201
HOURS/ SHIFT:
0900x1700 M-F/Flexible
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Disciplinary records and absence and tardiness records will be reviewed.

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization?
Skills Requirement: You will be required to meet the typing skills requirement by demonstrating the ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute after errors are deducted. You must meet this requirement in order to be appointed.
