Seasonal Full-Time | Marine Industry | Transport Driver | Equipment Operator
River Valley Marine in Rochester, MN is hiring a Seasonal Full-Time Marine Transport Driver to support our team during the busy spring and peak boating season.
If you have experience as a transport driver, delivery driver, CDL or non-CDL driver, tow truck driver, heavy equipment operator, or logistics driver, this is an excellent opportunity to work in the growing marine industry while gaining hands-on experience moving boats and marine equipment.
This role is critical to ensuring safe, professional, and on-time delivery of boats to customers, marinas, storage facilities, and dealership locations.
Position Overview
Each day begins at one of our Rochester-area service locations. You will be responsible for transporting, staging, and organizing boats and marine equipment to keep operations running efficiently during peak season.
Boats range from 19 to 40 feet, requiring strong towing experience, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
Delivery locations include:
Customer homes and private properties
Public boat launches and marinas
Indoor and outdoor storage facilities
Other dealership locations
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport boats and marine equipment between dealership locations and customer sites
Tow bumper pull, fifth-wheel, and gooseneck trailers
Operate company vehicles and equipment including:
Pickup trucks
One-ton flatbed trucks
Rollback transport truck
Forklift
Front-end loader
Secure boats and trailers properly for safe highway transport
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and DOT compliance
Complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately
Maintain professional communication with customers during deliveries
Assist service, lot, and detailing teams as needed
Follow all company safety standards and federal/state transportation regulations
Required Qualifications
Experience towing trailers (bumper pull, fifth-wheel, or gooseneck required)
Experience transporting or handling boats preferred
Background as a transport driver, delivery driver, tow driver, or equipment operator highly valued
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Professional customer service skills
Active cell phone for daily communication
Ability to pass a background check
Schedule & Seasonal Expectations
Seasonal Full-Time position
Monday–Friday schedule
Minimum 40 hours per week
Peak season may require up to 50 hours per week
Occasional flexibility for evenings or Saturdays during high-volume periods
Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible based on delivery schedule)
This is a high-demand spring and summer position that plays a key role during our busiest time of year.
