Dundee Township Park District is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Horticulture Assistants to help maintain and enhance the beauty of our parks. What You’ll Do

As a Seasonal Horticulture Assistant, you’ll:

Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Monitor plant health and identify issues like pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.

Safely operate and maintain horticulture tools and equipment.

Remove weeds, debris, and litter to keep landscaped areas clean and attractive.

Support seasonal plantings, restoration projects, and park beautification efforts.

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Who You Are

You're a motivated team player with:

A love for nature and an eagerness to learn about horticulture.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good physical condition and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

Experience with horticulture, landscaping, or plant care (preferred but not required).

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (a plus).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Weekend or holiday hours may be required, as well as extended hours as needed.

This is a seasonal position, ideal for those looking for an active outdoor job!
