Job Description

Description: Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work at the 1796 Otis House Museum located on Beacon Hill in Boston, MA. Guides are responsible for conducting tours of the museum property and performing daily open/close procedures. In addition to the presentation of interpretative tours, guide responsibilities include collecting admissions, sales in the museum gift shop, daily care of the museum space and collections, and assisting the Site Manager with public programs and administrative duties. Training will be provided.

Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have a passion for public history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available during at least two days of our open hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and commit to employment from April - August 2026.
