Job Description
About Nexus
At Nexus, we help organizations turn complex data into clear, actionable insight — so the hard work behind artificial intelligence, analytics, and cloud infrastructure doesn’t slow innovation down… it accelerates it.
We’re a team of builders, problem-solvers, and collaborators who believe in moving fast, learning continuously, and doing great work together. Our role is to handle the heavy lifting of modern data platforms, governance, and cloud transformation so our clients can focus on making confident, strategic decisions that move their businesses forward.
We’re proud of the culture we’re building across the U.S. and India — one rooted in curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and care — and we’re excited to keep growing with people who want to do meaningful work alongside genuinely great teammates.
We’re hiring a Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Owner to help drive execution across the product engineering team. This role owns Scrum ceremonies, delivery tracking, and coordination. With a growing team structure, not every role or process is fully defined, this person should be comfortable stepping in where needed, bringing structure, and keeping work moving. You’ll play a key part in helping the team stay focused, organized, and on track. We’re looking for a Scrum Master to coach and enable one to two cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software iteratively. You will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, remove impediments, and strengthen agile maturity across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Coach teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices to improve velocity, quality, and predictability
• Facilitate ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospective
• Partner with the Product Owner on backlog health, prioritization, and clear acceptance criteria
• Track and communicate team metrics such as throughput, cycle time, and sprint goal attainment
• Proactively identify and remove impediments, escalating when needed
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven experiments and actionable retrospectives
• Coordinate dependencies and cross-team collaboration in a scaled environment
• Promote technical excellence with Engineering, QA, and DevOps
• Safeguard sprint focus and manage scope changes
• Support release planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication

Requirements
• 4–8 years of total experience with 2–5 years as a dedicated Scrum Master
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaling approaches (SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale)
• Hands-on experience facilitating Scrum events and coaching teams
• Proficiency with Agile tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
• Certification: CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe SSM, or equivalent
• Experience with distributed teams and product delivery across time zones
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and test automation
• Domain knowledge in your industry or product area
Working Hours
• Core hours aligned to IST with occasional overlap with US or EU time zones for cross-team collaboration
Tools and Tech
• Jira or Azure DevOps
• Confluence or Notion for documentation
