Summary:
IT Project Lead is responsible for working with the designated Delivery Teams and managing projects using SDLC methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. The IT Project Lead will facilitate and be responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes while adhering to IAA Project Management Processes to deliver software and other projects on time and within budget.
IT Project Lead will play a key role in Delivery Teams’ success by removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work, and mentoring and developing team members.
Process enhancements and process compliance is vital for IAA’s success. As a part of the Project Management group, IT Project Lead will work on identifying new opportunities for process improvements in the SDLC to optimize work flow, communication or product delivery, and work with other IT Project Managers to implement and follow approved changes.
Responsibilities:
Support the Product Managers and Technical Delivery Leads in managing business expectations for project deliverables, managing communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance
Promote team work at all times and set a good personal example of attitude and performance
Identify, track, communicate, manage and resolve project issues
Identify, manage and mitigate project risk and roadblocks
Manage project budget and financials
Provide upward communication on project scope, schedule, budgets
Proactively manage scope to ensure what was agreed upon in the Project Initiation document is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management
Manage the overall project plan to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget
Perform other job-related duties as necessary
This position reports to the designated IT Project Manager
Key Performance Indicators:
Demonstrate strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
Thoroughly maintain and document all project documentation and processes
Build and maintain solid relationships with the designated Delivery Teams and Business Groups
Excellent attention and diligence to detail and a commitment to producing accurate project artifacts
Efficient guidance and support to the designated Delivery Teams, proactive risk and roadblock mitigation
Oversee all aspects of a project from inception and work effort estimation stages through delivery and project close. Coordinate all project related activities following standard project and software development methodologies.
Effectively manage all the project lifecycle relationships to ensure that what is approved is delivered and ensure that any changes to commitments are effectively communicated and consensus is achieved.
Promote effective work environment by closely coordinating with the designated Product Managers and Technical Delivery Leads
