Deliver combined business analysis and Scrum Master leadership to the Outwards Reinsurance (ORI) project, ensuring effective Agile delivery and well‑defined requirements for future‑state processes and technology. The role will coach teams in Agile ways of working while maintaining structure, transparency and control across the change lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Guide the ORI project team in Agile and Scrum practices, promoting consistent use of agreed frameworks and ceremonies.
• Plan and facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives to maintain rhythm and alignment.
• Work with the Product Owner to shape, prioritise and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined and aligned to project objectives.
• Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers, supporting continuous improvement and helping the team meet sprint commitments.
• Track and report on delivery performance using metrics such as sprint velocity and burn‑down charts, providing clear visibility of progress and risk.
• Capture and document business requirements and user stories to required standards, ensuring traceability to scope and governance expectations.
• Support the development of business process flows and Target Operating Model documentation for the future‑state Outwards Reinsurance function.
Requirements:
• Demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst within change programmes, ideally in insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practical experience running Scrum ceremonies.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops, manage stakeholder expectations and drive consensus on priorities and outcomes.
• Solid analytical and documentation skills, with experience producing user stories, process flows and TOM artefacts.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge constructively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Organised, resilient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced change environment.
