Job Summary:

Scrum Masters are responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted by adhering to Scrum theory, practices, and rules. Provides project leadership of cross-functional project teams, and facilitating daily scrum sessions. Responsible for removing obstacles for the team’s pursuit of its sprint goals, managing scope and making sure the team remains on task. 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Facilitates the team’s planning process (IPM, Sprints) - monitoring scrum teams day to day development activity for continued process improvements through facilitating daily stand-ups, grooming, planning, review and retro sessions.

2. Develops leads and oversees project timelines, deliverables, resources, tasks, dependencies, cost estimates, etc.

3. Ensures resources are assigned as appropriate based on project size, scope and complexity while looking for and managing integration points with like products and like timing.

4. Identify and collaborate with appropriate departments to make risk assessments, determine dependencies, while gathering feedback from appropriate areas.

5. Establishing standards and procedures regarding the Agile process.

6. Promote the advancement and adoption of Agile methodology best practice methods, tools and documentation deliverables. Working across the organization to achieve standardized methods

7. Provides daily leadership by coordinating work, monitoring performance and providing assistance to other scrum-masters.

Experience:

1. 7 to 10 years working with Scrum

2. 5 years working as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in an Agile environment

3. Capable of producing Agile artifacts – backlogs, burn down charts

4. Experience in the writing of detailed technical documentation, specifically business requirements and functional specifications

5. Experience with facilitating meetings to achieve objectives, such as requirements gathering processes

Skills:

1. Excellent communication (written and verbal), leadership & facilitation skills

2. Track record of working closely with product, design & engineering on strategic goals as well as tactical requirements to successfully launch products

3. Strong relationship management, negotiation and collaboration skills

4. Solid demonstrated proficiency in the use and/or understanding of project tracking and management tools such as MS Project
