Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):
Spry is seeking a Scrum Master to join our contract with a government customer in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will guide Agile teams in applying Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks to deliver high-value solutions. This role involves facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, fostering team collaboration, and supporting continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with product owners, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful delivery of project objectives.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities): :
• Facilitate the development and implementation of Agile processes and ceremonies.
• Provide day-to-day Scrum leadership and support for Agile teams.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and delivery alignment.
• Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Identify, track, and help remove impediments to maintain team momentum.
• Monitor and report on team performance, delivery progress, and sprint metrics.
• Support backlog refinement and ensure work items are well-defined and ready for execution.
• Champion continuous improvement by guiding teams in adopting Agile best practices.
• Foster a supportive, transparent, and collaborative team environment to maximize value delivery.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): :
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban; familiarity with SAFe a plus).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and techniques, including backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, and team facilitation.
• Proven ability to facilitate ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and remove impediments to maintain delivery momentum.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications)::
• Experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Power BI
• Experience working with NIWC Atlantic or DoD environment
• Education - Bachelors degree in business or technical field
