AML Screening & Transaction Monitoring Manager
Ebury São Paulo Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
As the AML Screening & Transaction Monitoring Manager, you will lead the First Line of Defense (1LoD) operations within our Brazilian structure. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily execution of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and PEP identification.
What you’ll do
• Operational Leadership: Manage the daily workflow of the Transaction Monitoring and Screening team, ensuring all alerts are analyzed within defined SLAs;
• System Migration & Optimization: Act as the technical lead for the transition of monitoring rules during system migrations, ensuring no loss of oversight during the "go-live" phases;
• Policy Implementation: Translate complex AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Financing of Terrorism) policies into actionable operational procedures for FX products;
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the 2nd Line of Defense (Compliance) and Global teams to calibrate monitoring rules and reduce "false positives" without increasing risk;
• Reporting: Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for senior leadership and regulatory reporting.
What you’ll need
• Minimum of 5–7 years in AML/Compliance Operations within a Bank, Fintech, or FX institution;
• Deep knowledge of Brazilian Central Bank (Bacen) regulations and international AML standards;
• Proven experience leading teams;
• Solid understanding of foreign exchange markets, non-resident accounts, and cross-border payment flows;
• Systems: Experience with transactional monitoring tools;
• Language: Advanced English.
