The Translational Models group within Animal Research & Welfare (ARW) is seeking a research scientist to work with ARW veterinarians and therapeutic unit project teams to manage requests for animal model and in vivo study support. This position requires a highly collaborative individual with experience in laboratory animal research and biological sciences and strong project management skills. Under the direction of the ARW Strategic Advisor for Translational Models, the position will involve regular interactions with project teams across all phases of drug discovery and development and all therapeutic units within Sanofi R&D to track requests for support with in vivo studies. The position will support the Translational Models group s objectives, which range from new model development to troubleshooting established models and optimizing the translatability of animal models. The individual filling this position will assist the Translational Models group with background research on various in vivo models and will follow up on requests from project teams with regular meetings to track the progress of the in vivo studies.

Skills: In addition, experience with in vivo pharmacology studies and project management is desired. Successful candidates will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with the basic principles of animal models of human disease.

Education: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor s or Master s degree in the biological sciences and a minimum of 1-2 years working in the pharmaceutical industry.
