Accountabilities:

Develop, review, and maintain accurate medical content by applying your scientific and therapeutic expertise. Formats include scientific narratives, MSL resources, visual data presentations, templated replies, FAQs, and other communication materials. The goal is to inform and engage HCPs across therapeutic areas and products.

Provide detailed, targeted, and scientifically balanced answers to medical information inquiries from Health Care Providers to support the appropriate use of AstraZeneca products.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with cross-functional teams to guarantee medical content is in line with strategic priorities and meets industry standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Evidence Identification: Conduct detailed literature reviews to identify relevant scientific evidence, ensuring copyright and appropriate usage in content development.

Data Translation: Convert complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate messaging that supports therapeutic area goals, product positioning, and educational initiatives.

Medical Accuracy Review: Conduct medical accuracy evaluation of scientific content, ensuring quality and scientific integrity.

Operational Excellence: Contribute to improvements in processes developed to boost operational efficiency, quality, and turnaround time. Help develop strong management frameworks to track operational and other important metrics.

Digital Innovation: Significantly contribute to integrating digital solutions and emerging technological progress in scientific content delivery, scaling reach and impact.

Contribute to strategic medical planning and guarantee timely execution of assigned deliverables tied to product launches, data updates, or congress support, meeting all required deadlines.

Leadership and Collaboration: Lead/participate in key workstreams which may include scientific content creation, medical information services, or digital innovation projects depending on the level of experience and business need.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Advanced degree in a life science, pharmacy, or related field.

Hands-on experience with medical information systems and content platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, scientific reference managers, inquiry management tools).

Familiarity with global regulatory and compliance frameworks for scientific communications and medical information (e.g., FDA, EMA, EFPIA, IFPMA) and fair balance principles.

Ability to design or oversee visual storytelling (infographics, data visualizations) and adapt content for digital channels.

Experience supporting congress activities, symposia, and data dissemination plans.

Proficiency in setting and tracking operational KPIs and dashboards using analytics tools.

Comfort working in agile, cross-functional environments and managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
