This document provides an overview of the responsibilities and benefits of this program. The training model is broken into five core areas, each described in greater detail below.
It is important to clarify that this training is not employment. Rather, it is a voluntary training program intended to best prepare you for potential future opportunities with HCM. This area focuses on building spiritual, professional, and personal relationships within your role and the community.
Recovery Pastor: You will have the opportunity to shadow a Recovery Pastor (RP) at a local campus, gaining hands-on experience and learning the responsibilities of the position. This section covers both the discipleship of program residents and your own personal growth.
Volunteers: You will assist the local RP in recruiting, training, and placing volunteers. This experience will develop your team building and leadership skills, which are essential for the RC role.
Counseling: You will be trained to counsel at least one first-phase and one second-phase resident, as well as facilitate one group session per week.
Educational Growth: You will have weekly-online course work for both spiritual studies, as well as leadership studies. These lessons are provided by the best leaders across the HCM network.

This section focuses on fostering an environment conducive to the discipleship process.
Godly Culture: You will play a key role in creating a godly atmosphere on campus, influencing both the physical environment and the conversations held among residents.

Community and Recreation: You will help plan, schedule, and oversee free nights, holidays, and Saturday fun days on campus.

We recognize that addiction affects not only the individual but also their families. A strong treatment program supports both residents and their loved ones.
Family Support Groups: You will assist the RP in inviting, preparing for, and facilitating weekly family support groups, helping families navigate their loved ones’ recovery journey.
Foundation Classes: You will work alongside the RP to facilitate foundation classes designed to educate and encourage residents' family members, ensuring they provide a healthy support system.
Pass Management: You will help the RP oversee resident pass procedures, ensuring proper approvals, logging, and sign-out protocols are followed.

This section covers the technical and procedural aspects of the RP role.
