Job Description
As a Food Service Worker with The Menta Group, you will ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the school kitchen, while preparing and serving student meals.
• Hourly Pay
• 8am-2pm, M-F (No weekends, no nights, follows a school calendar)
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for students with the assistance of student helpers
• Coach, mentor, de-escalate, and encourage students
• Keep records of materials, ingredients and supplies in kitchen
• Stock and store food
• Clean and maintain professional kitchen equipment
• Assist with student supervision and learning
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Food Handler certification required
• Food Service Safety Manager Certification (FSSMC) license strongly preferred
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Food Handler Certification required (must obtain upon employment)
• Previous experience working with special needs children preferred
• Previous experience in Job Corp, kitchen/food prep training welcomed
• School cafeteria experience helpful
• Restaurant and other food service experience helpful
