Under the responsibility of the site director, the scale and transportation clerk plays an essential role in the operation of the department. They support their group in administrative, planning, transportation, and customer service functions.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
• Opening and closing daily operations
• Welcoming customers courteously while following our procedures and requirements
• Directing customers on site
• Answering telephone calls and redirecting them as needed
• Informing customers of current metal prices
• Weighing materials
• Preparing delivery slips in the RECY software
• Paying customers
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring follow-up on material shipments
• Balancing the cash register at the end of the day
• Communicating relevant information to the receiver
• Handling truck dispatch
• Preparing reports
• Performing all other related duties
