Job Summary:
Scaffold Foremen coordinate operations and oversee a crew of scaffold builders who erect and break down temporary scaffolding and rigging for construction projects. They must be able to work safely at great heights (90 feet or higher). This person must work onsite at construction projects within the Commercial and Industrial Sectors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.
Supervise daily construction site activities and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Ensure crews have the necessary materials, manpower, and resources to complete work.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Conduct daily crew briefings to review tasks, schedules, and productivity goals.
Accurately record crew time and submit weekly timesheets.
Train new crew members in accordance with company policies.
Communicate job progress, issues, and change orders with the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
Complete material take-offs and follow contract documents.
Maintain company equipment and assigned company vehicle.
Assist with scaffolding setup, fall protection installation, material handling, and dismantling when projects are complete.
Inspect work daily and safely use power and hand tools.
Perform all work in accordance with safety requirements and project plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license/ability to pass a DMV check
Authorized to work in the United States
Previous scaffolding experience
Ability to safely and correctly use and maintain tools and equipment.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from job orders, work orders, technical drawings, and other plans
Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instructions carefully, accurately, and safety
Basic math skills
Attention to detail
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and correctly
Demonstrated commitment to following safety rules
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English, Spanish)
High school diploma or equivalent (GED or graduation from trade school)
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to the following:
Able to work in an outdoor construction work environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, waste, toxic and infectious materials and possible inclement weather conditions.
Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, stretch, squat and climb, often in restricted spaces and at great heights.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
Good dexterity and coordination
Able to wear required personal protective equipment.
Able to work safety with specialized construction equipment, tools, and materials.
Able to see, talk and hear in person and phone.
Able to lift & carry items up to approximately 100 lbs.
Able to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions.

Has strong technical knowledge of install process and products we use on what systems.
Strong communicator with our Foreman, Estimators, Project Managers, and Customers.
Sets project production goals for crew on each job.
Self-motivated and hard working. Leads by example.
Has the ability to find and secure labor to adequately staff projects.
Is an active participant in every project turnover meeting.
Has the ability to read contract drawings
Positively impacts their projects every day by driving safety, quality and production.
Follows up and follows through with Customers, Estimators, and Project Managers on deliverables.
Looks for opportunities to become more efficient on each job
Questions deviations from plans with customer and communicates to Project Managers and Estimators.
Has the ability to identify change orders.
Approves time daily.
Has a Positive “can do” attitude
