Primary Purpose:
Plans and implements Spanish lessons to K-5 students, under the guidance of our Director of Curriculum and Instruction, providing a loving and nurturing environment for all students. Assists with the overall operations of the school by providing support during arrival, dismissal and extended care programs. Serves as a floater filling in vacancies as needed, to ensure all areas of the school are fully supported. Consistently reflects God’s love in every interaction, serving as a positive influence on staff, students, and families for Christ, while fully embodying the Sunlight Way in all areas of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:
Spanish Program Coordinator
Plan and deliver engaging lessons and upload them into our curriculum mapping system.
Assess student academics and monitor student progress for participation grades.
Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
Instilling sunlight STARS expectations and enforce them within the classroom.
School Operational Support
Monitor students at the car loop and provide a smooth and safe transition from school to vehicle.
Provide flexibility and support when assigned to a variety of operational needs within school.
Create safe transitions for students implementing same rules and expectations of classroom.
Floating Support
Provide coverage as needed in a variety of roles within the school.
Take initiative in seeking out tasks in an effort to support the school when not otherwise assigned.
Summer Camp Program
Provides support leading a group of students during summer camp.
Implements lessons and activities provided by the school.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Spiritual Commitment
A committed Christian who regularly attends church and actively lives out their faith.
Demonstrates a growing personal relationship with Jesus through consistent spiritual disciplines such as scripture reading, prayer, gratitude and fellowship.
Skills and Attributes
Fluent in both speaking and writing Spanish.
Excellent computer and social media skills, proficient with all Google Drive products.
Knowledge of FACTS preferred.
Strong leadership ability & customer service skills.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule working additional hours when necessary.
Exhibits a consistently positive attitude upholding the values and mission of the school.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to connect well with students, parents and staff.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters.
Flexible and willing to support school operations in a variety of roles as needed.
Dependable with a strong commitment to punctuality and regular attendance.
Work Experience
Experience working with children in a school or church setting required.
Experience teaching Spanish preferred.
Educational Credentials
Associates degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certification required.
