Job Description
Sentry is seeking a Saw Operator to support our Manufacturing Division in producing precision-cut materials for fabrication, structural steel, and custom-built systems. This role plays a key part in our in-house manufacturing operation, ensuring materials are cut accurately and ready for welding, machining, and assembly.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, solid tape measure skills, and a positive attitude. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate band saws and other cutting equipment to cut steel, tubing, and structural materials
- Measure and cut materials to exact specifications using a tape measure and cut lists
- Read and follow shop drawings and production instructions
- Maintain tight tolerances to support fabrication and CNC machining processes
- Load, unload, and stage materials for production (forklift or crane experience is a plus)
- Perform basic equipment maintenance including blade changes and adjustments
- Organize cut materials for welders, fabricators, and assembly teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area

Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction
- Experience working with steel or metal materials
- Forklift or material handling experience
- Experience operating saws or similar equipment
Pay
$18–$24/hour, depending on experience
