About the Role

As a Satellite Mechanical Production Technician, you will be building structure assemblies and deployable assemblies for satellites. You will directly support the assembly, testing, and integration of spacecraft hardware, ensuring high-quality and reliable performance of our satellites.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a comprehensive understanding of various tools, equipment, and machinery to effectively accomplish daily tasks.
• Manage schedule priorities and execute work tasks to meet production timelines.
• Independently performs a variety of sub-assemblies tasks according to detailed work instructions and established procedures.
• Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure correct assembly.
• Record work performed accurately in the shop floor management system and maintained traceability.
• Collaborate with AIT engineers on documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct mechanical integration tasks following cleanroom standards and ESD safety procedures.


Requirements:
Required:

• High school diploma (or equivalent technical qualification).
• 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, integration, or mechanical assembly.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with precision hardware.
• Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Understanding of assembly tools, torque and gluing processes.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-have:

• Experience with laboratory and test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow controlled documentation and processes such as mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and parts lists.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as PC-based systems and Jira.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
