SAP Solution Architect – S/4HANA

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31.5 Billion international wholesaler with operations in 32 countries through 625 stores & a team of 85,000 people globally. Metro operates in a further 10 countries with its Food Service Distribution (FSD) business and it is thus active in a total of 34 countries.

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide Finance, HR, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Your new responsibilities:

• Lead technical design workshops and translate business requirements into robust end-to-end solution designs.
• Create and maintain solution blueprints and architecture decision records.
• Act as technical lead and single point of contact for assigned functions and services.
• Drive standardization and automation based on SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
• Steer implementation from solution concept through go-live and hyper care.
• Proactively identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities and take ownership of solving them.
• Work as part of highly efficient, cross-functional team and actively contribute to team success.
• Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies and integration approaches to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers in an international environment.

 

Your profile:  

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and development concepts.
• Proven experience with ABAP OO and custom development in S/4HANA.
• Good knowledge of HANA database specifics and performance principles.
• Hands-on experience with CDS Views and RAP / OData services.
• Understanding of SAP BTP integration and extension concepts.
• Experience with transport and lifecycle management in complex SAP landscapes.
• Proven ability to design end-to-end solution architecture across hybrid landscapes (S/4 + non-SAP + Cloud).
• Solid understanding of procure-to-pay and supplier invoice control processes.
• Ability to challenge and refine business requirements and turn them into sustainable technical designs.
• High level of personal responsibility, pro-active working style and strong team mindset.
• Fluent in English.
