The Role

We are looking for a Lead SAP Security Architect with deep expertise in securing enterprise SAP landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA, ECC6, and particularly SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing and implementing robust security strategies, with strong expertise in SAP BTP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS).

This role goes beyond traditional SAP security, it requires someone who can bridge enterprise-grade security frameworks with the cloud-native capabilities of SAP BTP, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable solutions. You will also play a vital role in mentoring junior security consultants, advising clients, and contributing to the development of secure SAP-based products and services.

Responsibilities

Lead Security Integration for SAP & BTP Landscapes: Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, and solution architects to design and implement comprehensive security strategies for SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC6) and SAP BTP services, aligning with best practices and compliance requirements.

SAP BTP Security Configuration: Take ownership of SAP BTP IAS and IPS configuration, setup, and integration, enabling secure identity federation and SSO between cloud and on-premises systems. Ensure seamless IAM across hybrid environments.

SSO Strategy & Execution: Define and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML2, OpenID Connect, or similar standards to integrate SAP solutions with enterprise identity providers (IdPs).

SAP S/4HANA Security Implementation: Lead the design and execution of security controls and role design during S/4HANA upgrades and transformations, ensuring security is embedded into the lifecycle.

Security Consulting & Advisory: Act as a trusted security advisor, guiding clients through complex technical and compliance challenges. Deliver tailored security solutions aligned with business needs and regulatory obligations.

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Ensure adherence to GDPR, SOX, and other standards through robust access control, risk management, and role-based governance using SAP GRC tools.

Identity & Role Management: Manage users, roles, and authorizations across SAP systems (on-prem and cloud), enforcing SoD (Segregation of Duties) policies and managing elevated access securely.

Executive-Level Documentation: Prepare executive summaries and architecture briefs outlining security design decisions, integration strategies, and IAM flows in a format understandable to business stakeholders.

Security Best Practices & Knowledge Transfer: Develop, maintain, and document SAP security standards, procedures, and reusable configurations. Share expertise across the team and mentor junior consultants.

Security in Product Development: Support internal product teams by integrating SAP-standard security practices into the design of custom applications and services offered on the SAP Store.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor SAP's evolving security ecosystem especially innovations in SAP BTP, IAS/IPS, and identity provisioning and proactively apply best practices. 

Qualifications

7+ years of SAP Security Experience: Proven experience in SAP Security, particularly with SAP S/4HANA, ECC6, and SAP BTP. Strong track record in configuring and managing security for SAP products and services.

Expertise in SAP Security Tools and Modules: Extensive experience with SAP security modules, including SAP Identity Management, SAP GRC, and access control. Knowledge of Netweaver Identity Management is a plus.

Fluency in French: Strong written and verbal communication skills in French, with the ability to clearly convey technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC): Familiarity with SAP GRC and compliance frameworks such as SOX and GDPR, and the ability to advise clients on implementing secure SAP landscapes in accordance with these standards.

Proven Consulting Experience: Experience in consulting and working closely with clients to implement SAP solutions that meet both security and business objectives. Strong problem-solving abilities and client-facing skills are essential.

SAP Basis Knowledge: Understanding of SAP Basis and SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM or SAP Success Factors Security which will support your role in ensuring the proper security setup and monitoring across SAP environments.

SAP Security Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP Security, GRC, or related fields would be highly beneficial.
