SAP SD Consultant

We’re seeking an experienced SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Consultant to lead design, configuration, and delivery of Order-to-Cash processes in SAP S/4HANA, with a strong emphasis on SAP Private Cloud deployment models. You’ll partner with business stakeholders, architects, and integration teams to optimize pricing, delivery, billing, and revenue processes while ensuring scalable, compliant, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for SD across Order-to-Cash (OTC), including pricing, ATP, credit management, delivery, shipping, billing, and returns.

Configure SD and related cross-functional components (MM, FI/CO, GTS, TM/LE as needed); document functional specs and guide ABAP development for RICEFW objects.

Own end-to-end SD process enablement in SAP Private Cloud (RISE or HEC): environment strategy, transport and release practices, performance/availability considerations.

Drive data readiness (customers, pricing, conditions, output) and testing (SIT, UAT, regression); create training materials and support cutover and hypercare.

Collaborate on security/roles, interfaces/integration (EDI/API/IDoc), and compliance (SOX, audit, controls).

Monitor solution performance, resolve incidents, and implement continuous improvements aligned to release cycles.

Advise on best practices, standardization, and change management to increase adoption and reduce technical debt.

Qualifications

5–8+ years hands-on SAP SD configuration and solution design, including pricing (condition techniques), delivery/billing, revenue recognition touchpoints, and returns/credit processes.

Proven experience in SAP Private Cloud (e.g., RISE with SAP / HEC): understanding of tenancy, provisioning, transports, patches, and operational guardrails.

SAP Certifications relevant to SD/S/4HANA (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Sales and Distribution, S/4HANA or equivalent).

Demonstrated delivery across at least 2 full lifecycle implementations (blueprint to hypercare) and complex enhancements in a live environment.

Strong knowledge of integration with MM and FI/CO (pricing to accounting, tax integration, credit management, logistics execution).

Experience writing functional specs and collaborating with developers on IDocs, BAPIs, user exits, BAdIs, and output management.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into robust, scalable SAP solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry credentials or domain depth (e.g., CPG, wholesale/distribution, industrial manufacturing, high tech, life sciences).

Localization experience or expertise (country-specific tax, e-invoicing, local language forms, statutory reporting).

SAP Rebate & Settlement Management (Condition Contracts/BRIM/Settlement Management) or legacy SD Rebates expertise.

ECC-to-S/4HANA migration experience (greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition), including data migration, simplification items, and testing.

Exposure to Advanced ATP, GTS, Transportation Management, EWM, or Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR).

Familiarity with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), DevOps toolchains, and modern documentation/testing practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

Relevant SAP certifications are required; advanced/professional levels preferred.
