The work
The Senior SAP Production Planning (PP) Functional Consultant will support a large-scale S/4HANA Greenfield implementation focused on transforming and consolidating production processes across the enterprise. This role is responsible for configuring and implementing SAP Core Production Planning functionality and ensuring seamless integration with Quality Management, Project Systems, and Extended Warehouse Management. The consultant will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including architects, developers, and technical services—to design end‑to‑end solutions, enhance manufacturing operations, and deliver business‑aligned capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver Production Planning demonstrations to illustrate business value and solution capabilities
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and design SAP PP solutions that align with business process requirements
• Ensure strong functional integration across PP–QM, PP–EWM, and external manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution designs meet all functional and integration requirements
• Perform business process design, system analysis, and documentation activities
• Coordinate with architects, developers, technical services (BASIS, Middleware, Portal), and business analysts
• Support enhancements and integrations, including connections with MES systems such as Solumina
• Develop test strategies and lead complex testing cycles for Production Planning and integrated processes
Here’s what you need:
• 5+ years of SAP Production Planning experience
• Deep experience configuring and implementing SAP PP in S/4HANA, preferably in Greenfield programs
• Experience integrating PP with QM, PS, EWM, and third‑party systems
• Ability to design and document complex SAP PP business processes
• Experience designing data conversion programs for SAP Production Planning objects
• Strong understanding of manufacturing execution processes supported by SAP PP
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Nice to have:
• Experience integrating third‑party tools with SAP Production Planning
• Experience supporting MES integrations (e.g., Solumina)
• Familiarity with large-scale SAP transformation or consolidation programs
Eligibility requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must be eligible to obtain a government Top Secret clearance
• Ability to travel 25% to the client site
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$100,200—$203,400 USD
