SAP Hana Migration Expert with 5-7 years of experience

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Executing release upgrades and OS/DB migrations
• Troubleshooting upgrade and OS/DB migration issues during weekend cycles such as cutover and/or dress rehearsal etc.
• Analyzing critical issues that may occur on BASIS and HANA that cause production-down or go-live endangered situations.
• Deliver Upgrade / HANA Migration Planning workshops technically and strategically.
• Designing and guiding CoPA to follow best practices in managing complex transport landscapes
• Providing remote support during services and escalations
• Should have desire to learn and to share knowledge amongst team.
• Ability to handle high pressure situations; manage one’s own time; manage expectations.
• SAP Certified in SUM
• Certified in current version of OS/DB migration (Sybase 16 or 15, HANA)

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Expert on HANA migration methodology using SUM tool with DMO and also SWPM
• Hands on experience of OS/DB Migration and SAP Upgrades
• Experience from a live implementation of similar size and landscape.
• Hands-on experience doing transports, system copies and all BASIS related tasks.
• Working knowledge of upgrade and migration planning is an advantage
• Hands on experience in SAP installations using Unix/Linux operating systems commands
• Working knowledge of Back-up and Recovery procedures
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWARE, Solaris etc. would be an advantage
• Landscape design experience and data center architecture awareness is an advantage
• Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of HANA and S/4HANA projects is an advantage
• Working knowledge of Unix and Linux OS
• Working knowledge with migration from Oracle databases
• Working knowledge of SAP system replication for HA and DR
