The Role 

We are seeking a Senior SAP Solution Architect to lead the design of scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS solutions on SAP BTP. This high-impact role blends strong hands-on functional and technical expertise with close collaboration across product, development, and business teams. 

You’ll architect cloud-native applications built for reuse, SAP Store certification, and multi-tenant deployments. With a strong focus on SAP best practices, you’ll drive clean core design, ensure integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, and support pre-sales efforts through demos and technical workshops. 

You’ll also ensure enterprise readiness by addressing scalability, security, observability, data privacy (e.g., GDPR), and operational excellence—delivering solutions that are both robust and easy to scale for global customers. 

Responsibilities 

Design end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade solutions using SAP BTP services (e.g., SAP Build Code, Integration Suite, HANA Cloud, Process Automation, and SAP GenAI). 

Translate business and technical requirements into solution blueprints and detailed architecture artifacts. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with user needs, business goals, and SAP best practices. 

Build solutions with productization and reusability in mind, enabling rapid deployment across multiple clients. 

Ensure architectural compliance with SAP Store certification guidelines and readiness for public listing. 

Lead discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and technical design sessions with clients and partners. 

Provide expert guidance on integration scenarios, API-first design, event-driven architecture, data modeling, and extensibility with SAP S/4HANA. 

Design for operational excellence, including observability, compliance (e.g., GDPR), multi-tenancy, and performance SLAs. 

Mentor and support developers through solution development, ensuring adherence to architectural standards. 

Stay current with SAP BTP innovations and evaluate their applicability to SDA’s evolving solution portfolio. 

Contribute to internal frameworks, architecture governance, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. 

Act as solution evangelist in pre-sales, demos, and industry events. 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline and relevant SAP certifications are essential.  

10+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, including 5+ years in SAP environments. 

Strong Functional SAP experience in the areas of Record to Report (FI/CO, AA, AM, SAP Concur, etc.) and Source to Pay (MM, WM, IM, Ariba, etc.) is a must. 

Good understanding of SAP BTP components such as: SAP Build Apps / Build Code, Integration Suite, SAP HANA Cloud, Process Automation, SAP GenAI and SAP Identity and Authorization Management 

Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, cloud-native application design, and SAP extensibility frameworks. 

Demonstrated track record of leading the end-to-end development of a new product and successful commercialization of SaaS products. 

Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and reusable product design. 

Experience with SAP Store certification criteria and cloud deployment governance. 

Proven leadership in solution design and implementation across full project lifecycles. 

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. 

Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). 

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. 

TOGAF or other enterprise architecture framework experience is an asset. 

Passion for building elegant, impactful, and scalable enterprise solutions. 

Ability to think long-term and anticipate market trends. 

Skilled at translating bold visions into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes

Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and overcome obstacles effectively.
