SAP FICO Solution Architect (Project Director)

 

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Subject Matter Expert (BASED IN SINGAPORE) to lead and deliver end-to-end finance solutions, with proven expertise across presales, design, implementation, and stakeholder management in complex SAP environments. This role requires deep functional knowledge in Finance, exceptional communication, and a strong ability to design and drive multi-year roadmap strategies in partnership with business stakeholders.

 

What will you do?

 

• Partner with key stakeholders to transform business processes and improve key performance metrics.
• Build and maintain a multi-year SAP roadmap while adhering to architecture standards.
• Collaborate with team leads to design, build, and implement complex SAP solutions.
• Perform detailed analysis of complex business requirements and provide appropriate system solutions.
• Identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements, including facilitating workshops.
• Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Take complete responsibility for designing and delivering SAP solutions, ensuring seamless integration with satellite systems.
• Lead blueprinting and design sessions, and oversee development for new initiatives in the SAP FICO area.
• Guide and lead the FI team members in daily operations, provide expertise in solution delivery, and gain client buy-in.
• Prepare project roadmaps from design to delivery with cost estimates, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Support the creation of Proof of Concepts and service delivery processes.
• Interface with SAP modules such as PS, MM, SD and oversee integration for the service industry.
• Oversee RICEFW developments/enhancements and offer minimum debugging support for custom solutions.
• Ensure robust testing across unit, integration, performance, and regression stages.
• Deliver solutions in both standard SAP and customized environments to meet specific customer requirements.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 15 years of work experience in SAP FICO & S/4 HANA Finance, including at least 12+ years of SAP FICO experience in application management and development projects
• At least 2 SAP RISE implementation experiences in the last 4 years.
•  
• Direct experience with 4+ full lifecycle implementations in ECC and hands-on with SAP FI & CO, with integration into other applications.
• Expert knowledge in Finance sub-modules: AP, AR, GL, AA, Treasury, Group Reporting.
• Strong experience in blueprinting, design sessions, and developing for new SAP FICO initiatives.
• Well-versed in presales processes, solutions, proposal writing, RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and oral presentations.
• Good understanding of stakeholder management, project scope, cost, margin, and profitability.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, proactive and self-directed.
• Skilled in problem-solving, analytical, logical, and communication abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of integrations and interfaces with BW, BPC, third-party systems, Concur, Ariba, VIM. Experience integrating FI module with Ariba, BOTS, Fiori P2P apps.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS set up and reporting requirements.
• Solution Architect exposure, with a proven track record delivering both standard and custom SAP solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
