SAP Data Migration (DM) Consultant (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated SAP S/4HANA Data Migration (DM) consultant (m/f/d) to support our global S/4HANA program and ensure high-quality and consistent data across all rollouts.

You will be part of our newly established SAP Center of Excellence in Madrid and contribute to designing and executing robust data migration strategies using ChainSys, SAP MDG, and best-practice S/4HANA methodologies.

Please note that the working location for this position will be in Madrid city, where we are currently setting up a new office.

Creating passion: your responsibilities
Contribute to the design, execution and continuous improvement of data migration processes within our global S/4HANA transformation program, ensuring consistency with the Liebherr global template and data governance standards.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, end-to-end data migration solutions, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
Act as a trusted advisor to data owners, and process leads guiding them through all migration phases (design, mapping, extraction, cleansing, load, validation, cutover and hypercare).
Lead and facilitate data mapping workshops, mock migration cycles, data quality reviews, and cutover rehearsals, ensuring readiness and accuracy for each deployment wave.
Produce, review and/or maintain data migration documentation, including templates, data objects specifications, mapping catalogs, and test evidence, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Collaborate closely with an international, cross-functional team to deliver high quality, reliable, and compliance data loads.
Travel (up to 30%) to Liebherr sites worldwide to engage directly with business teams and support deployments.
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
3+ years of experience in SAP data migration within S/4HANA transformations with hands-on involvement in at least one full-cycle migration project.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline.
Functional knowledge in key data domains (SAP FI, SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP LE, SAP SCM, SAP MDM, SAP PS, SAP PM, Business Partners) and familiarity with SAP MDG and data governance principles in a strong plus.
Proven experience delivering data migration for core S/4HANA objects, such as Business Partner, Material, Finance, Procurement, Sales or Manufacturing data.
Hands-on experience with SAP migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), BODS. Experience with ChainSys (Smart Data Platform) is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose data quality issues, design remediation activities, and deliver efficient, repeatable migration processes.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
Any SAP S/4HANA certification or equivalent credentials are a strong plus.
Willingness to travel international (up to 30%) as required by project work.
