SAP Costing & Transfer Pricing Functional Consultant - 3 Months Contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP Costing & Transfer Pricing Functional Consultant to join our SAP Finance team for a strategic SAP S/4HANA implementation program. The consultant will lead the design and implementation of advanced product costing and transfer pricing processes, ensuring accurate legal and group valuation across the organization.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong functional expertise, proactive stakeholder alignment, and hands-on configuration capabilities. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, and Production teams to deliver an integrated costing and valuation framework.

Requirements:
SAP S/4HANA Costing & Transfer Pricing Implementation

• Lead end-to-end design and configuration of product costing processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Conduct workshops to gather and validate business requirements related to cost calculation, transfer pricing, and valuation approaches.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution design documents.
• Configure system settings and ensure integration with logistics and finance modules.

2. Core Functional Scope

Cost Price Calculation – Legal & Group Valuation

• Configure cost price calculation in legal and group valuation views.
• Design and implement transfer pricing scenarios (legal, group, and profit center valuation).
• Ensure correct integration between legal entity accounting and group reporting requirements.

Material Ledger & Actual Costing

• Implement and configure Material Ledger with multiple valuation approaches.
• Support Actual Costing (period-end closing, price determination, revaluation).
• Ensure reconciliation between inventory valuation and financial accounting.

Production Order Valuation & Settlement

• Configure production order costing (planned vs. actual).
• Manage order settlement to material, cost center, or profitability segment.
• Support variance calculation and analysis.

Cost Component Splitting

• Design cost component structures for reporting and group consolidation.
• Configure cost component split for standard and actual costing.
• Support reporting requirements for margin and profitability analysis.

Multiple BOM Costing

• Configure costing variants supporting multiple BOMs and production scenarios.
• Enable simulation and comparison of different production cost structures.

3. Integration Responsibilities

Ensure seamless integration across:

• SAP CO-PC (Product Cost Controlling)
• SAP MM (Material valuation, procurement processes)
• SAP PP (BOM, routing, production orders)
• SAP SD (Billing, intercompany sales, margin analysis)
• SAP FI and SAP FI-GL (inventory postings, account determination, reconciliation)
• SAP CO-CS (cost center allocations and overhead management)

4. Testing & Deployment

• Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and UAT cycles.
• Support issue resolution and system stabilization.
• Assist in cutover activities and go-live support.
• Provide documentation and end-user training materials.

5. Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Act as the primary functional expert for costing and transfer pricing topics.
• Conduct regular alignment meetings with Finance and Controlling stakeholders.
• Present design solutions and explain impact on financial reporting and inventory valuation.
• Collaborate with technical teams for enhancements and developments where required.

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• SAP CO-PC
• SAP MM
• SAP SD
• SAP PP

• Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Deep understanding of product costing, transfer pricing, and inventory valuation concepts.
