Senior SAP BW Consultant  

This position will be responsible for all the technical activities related to the analysis, definition and implementation of the SAP BI/HANA solution. The role will document requirements, define scopes and objectives, develop the support model and SLA compliance. 

This position will work mainly within SAP Application Support organization to review new BI solution and troubleshoot production issue. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in Client Meetings to understand Business requirements related to SAP BI including HANA and SLA compliance strategy.
• Contribute to the development of the current BW landscape and architecture by modeling, designing, developing, testing and implementing the appropriate backend and front-end structures needed to meet business reporting requirements. This includes the creation and enforcement of SAP BW development standards in accordance with SAP BW recommended practices.
• Work with Key Stakeholders on the gathering of business requirements; develop a technical plan with duration estimates. Execute the plan and deliver the required deliverables within the time estimate.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain custom and pre-delivered extractors as well as leveraging other SAP ETL tools to perform data extractions (SAP and non-SAP sources), transformations, and application of business rules.
• Work closely with a team of BW developers, and functional leads to align business content with business reporting and analytical requirements
• Participate in the optimization of SAP BW on HANA of underlying structures leveraging HANA studio and/or the LSA++ design principles.
• Responsible for daily support of the data warehouse and associated data marts looking for ways to reduce maintainability and increase efficiencies.
• Responsible for documenting modifications of pre-existing development as well as new development for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
• Interact with the client business community to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate them into business intelligence applications and reporting solutions.
• Facilitates collaboration with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and drive the Issues in SAP BW, HANA, BODS, SLT. 

Qualifications:

• 8+ Years of Experience in SAP BW. 

• Experience in ABAP programming is a plus.

• 2+ Years of Experience with HANA, and Standalone HANA Implementation.

• 3+ Years of HANA ETL experience, such as SAP BODS & SLT.

• Have Experience with SQL (in HANA). 

• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Strong technical and functional knowledge and a client-facing personality.

• Experience in both support and development role.

• Should have hands-on system configuration and good end-to-end Implementation experience.

• Certification in BW and HANA is strongly preferred.
