We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Security Governance professional to lead and strengthen enterprise-wide SAP security, governance, and compliance frameworks. This role focuses on ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant SAP environments, particularly in modern cloud ecosystems such as SAP RISE. You will play a critical role in designing and governing security architectures, managing risks, and aligning SAP systems with organizational and regulatory requirements. The position requires a strong blend of SAP Basis expertise, security governance, and information security principles to support business continuity and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis and security governance initiatives across landscapes including SAP RISE environments
• Design, implement, and manage SAP security architecture including roles, authorizations, and access controls
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
• Manage user access lifecycle including provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic access reviews
• Monitor and mitigate security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats across SAP systems
• Define and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for SAP security and Basis operations
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure secure system configurations
• Oversee transport management, system refreshes, and patching activities from a security perspective
• Support SAP audits by preparing documentation, resolving findings, and ensuring audit readiness
• Drive implementation of identity and access management (IAM) integrations and SSO solutions
• Ensure secure migration and operations within SAP RISE and cloud-hosted SAP environments
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls aligned with enterprise information security governance
• Provide guidance on SAP best practices related to security, compliance, and governance
• Mentor teams and stakeholders on security awareness and governance processes

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Basis, SAP Security, and Governance roles
• Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration along with deep understanding of SAP Security concepts
• Hands-on experience with SAP RISE and cloud-based SAP environments
• Proven experience in implementing SAP security frameworks, role design, and GRC solutions
• Strong understanding of Information Security Governance, risk management, and compliance standards
• Experience handling SAP audits, regulatory compliance, and security assessments
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSO, and user lifecycle management
• Familiarity with SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and Fiori environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-focused mindset
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills to articulate security concepts to technical and business audiences
• Proactive approach with high ownership and ability to drive governance initiatives independently
