Purpose of the Role: 

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Engineer to join our IT operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and optimizing SAP systems for our mid-sized business clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Basis administration, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to system and process improvement. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

• Operate and manage SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, HANA, Oracle, DB2) for mid-sized customers 
•  Execute all SAP Basis activities including: 
• Installation and configuration of SAP instances 
• Application of SAP Notes 
• Client copies and SAP patches 
• SAP GUI setup and IDOC configuration 
• Participate in migration projects, particularly towards SAP S/4HANA 
• Configure and maintain the Transport Management System (TMS) and manage transport processes 
• Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces and processes (PI/PO, EDI systems, third-party integrations) 
• Troubleshoot SAP ABAP and JAVA systems proactively 
• Participate in SAP Basis-related projects 
• Provide second- and third-level support 
• Manage incident, change, and service request tickets 

 

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU: 

• Have Master’s or equivalent degree in IT or related field with relevant experience 
• Have minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in IT administration 
• Have proven experience in SAP project or consulting environments 
• Are proficient in SAP S/4HANA, HANA, DB2, Oracle, and Sybase ASE 
• Have basic knowledge of SAP Solution Manager is an advantage 
• Have strong Unix/Linux operating system skills 
• Have customer-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills 
• Have high degree of flexibility, reliability, and attention to detail 
• Are proficient in MS Office applications 

 

Desired Certifications (Nice to Have): 

• SAP certifications preferred 
• ITIL 

 

Language Requirements: 

• English - B1 level
• German – B2 level

 

Additional Requirements: 

• Additional security clearance required 

• Complete employment history verification required 

• Willingness and medical fitness for on-call duties

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1300€ /brutto.
