Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Data Tiering, Native Storage Extension (NSE), and Archiving on SAP HANA platforms. The role involves designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-wide data archiving and tiering strategies across SAP ECC on HANA and SAP BW on HANA, ensuring optimal system performance, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Bring 10+ years of overall experience in SAP Basis, including SAP HANA administration.
• Design and implement SAP-standard data archiving strategies across:
• SAP ECC on HANA (business object–based archiving)
• SAP BW on HANA (data tiering optimization)
• Configure and manage:
• Archiving objects, variants, and archiving jobs
• End-to-end archiving lifecycle processes
• Set up and integrate archiving solutions using:
• OpenText (ECM, Archiving, Document Access)
• SAP Object Store
• SAP IQ / NLS or similar cold-store solutions
• Implement and manage SAP HANA Native Storage Extension (NSE), including Hot, Warm, and Cold data tiering strategies.
• Analyze HANA memory utilization, table unloads, and reclaim activities.
• Identify large and rapidly growing tables / InfoProviders and recommend suitable archiving or tiering approaches.
• Validate and document system performance and memory improvements post-archiving and tiering.
• Lead or contribute to at least one end-to-end implementation of archiving and/or tiering for ECC on HANA and BW on HANA.
• Collaborate with business, BW, ECC, and Basis teams to recommend optimal NSE, archiving, and data tiering strategies.
• Ensure alignment with performance, compliance, and data retention requirements.
