SAP ABAP Techno Functional Analyst

As part of the SAP team, you would be responsible for translating the functional requirements into Technical Specifications and deliver efficient and sustainable solutions. You are expected to combine high expertise in ABAP programming and knowledge in cross-functional processes (particularly Finance) to deploy solutions which are in line with Syngenta Technical Standards, Ways of Working, methodologies as well as recommended/standard technical / SAP practices. Apart from ECC systems you are expected to have expertise over S/4 HANA based central finance system and SLT. Experience on MDG systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Enhancement: Design, develop, test, and deploy RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) objects using ABAP programming language within the S/4HANA environment
• S/4HANA Expertise: Utilize modern ABAP features and frameworks, including CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), OData services, and Fiori application development using SAPUI5/JavaScript
• Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between SAP S/4HANA and external systems using various technologies such as OData, REST APIs, and traditional RFC/IDoc methods
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for existing applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing timely bug fixes and performance optimizations
• Collaboration: Work closely with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and key stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain technical design documentation, ensuring all development adheres to best practices, coding standards, and project methodologies
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and trends, proactively recommending innovative solutions to improve system functionality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• S/4HANA Knowledge: Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA development tools and methodologies.
• Technical Proficiency:• Strong proficiency in core ABAP programming (OOABAP).
• Hands-on experience with Fiori and UI5 development is highly desirable.
• Experience with CDS Views and AMDPs for optimized data access and reporting
• Knowledge of OData service creation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with integration tools and technologies (APIs, IDocs, RFCs).

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Educational – Bachelors Degree with IT subject.
• Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
