Role OverviewThe SAP ABAP Technical Consultant will support established SAP environments across ECC and S 4 HANA, with a focus on enhancement, optimization, and stabilization of core manufacturing and order management processes. This role is hands on and execution focused, supporting live production systems rather than greenfield implementations. The consultant will work closely with functional, data, security, and project teams to deliver reliable and maintainable technical solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP solutions supporting Production Planning and Sales and Distribution processesSupport and improve existing custom ABAP code with a focus on performance, stability, and maintainabilityDevelop and maintain RICEF objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, CDS views, and APIsBuild and support OData services and backend logic for SAP Fiori and UI5 applicationsPartner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutionsSupport integrations across SAP modules and third party systemsTroubleshoot production issues through debugging and root cause analysisApply secure coding practices and authorization checks aligned with enterprise standardsDocument technical designs and contribute to knowledge transfer across teams

Required Qualifications5 to 10 years of hands on SAP ABAP development experienceExperience supporting SAP ECC and S 4 HANA environmentsHands on experience supporting PP and SD related developmentsStrong understanding of manufacturing and order to cash processesExperience with OO ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and performance tuningAbility to work independently in complex multi system environmentsStrong communication skills and experience working with distributed teams

Preferred QualificationsExperience with CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, or modern ABAP development patternsExposure to SAP Fiori, UI5, and API based architecturesExperience supporting ERP optimization or stabilization initiativesManufacturing, automotive, or industrial industry experienceExposure to SAP BTP or hybrid cloud environments
