Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support Purchasing and MP&L (Materials Planning & Logistics) functions within a complex, multi-plant SAP ECC environment undergoing optimization and stabilization.

This role will focus on custom ABAP development, enhancements, interfaces, reports, performance tuning, and integration support across MM, PP, and logistics processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate understands how purchasing, supply chain planning, inventory movement, and production execution work inside a live plant environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP objects supporting SAP MM and MP&L processes• Develop RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)• Support Purchasing processes including PR, PO, contracts, scheduling agreements• Support MRP, production supply, inventory movements, and logistics flows• Develop and enhance IDOCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits• Build and optimize ALV reports for procurement and materials planning• Interface development between SAP and legacy systems• Debug and resolve production defects in live plant environments• Optimize performance of custom programs impacting plant operations• Work closely with functional MM, PP, and MP&L analysts• Support testing cycles including unit testing and integration testing• Provide documentation and transport management support

Required Experience

• 6+ years SAP ABAP development experience• Strong experience in SAP ECC (S/4 exposure preferred but not required)• Deep experience supporting MM module• Hands-on experience with Purchasing objects (ME21N, ME22N, MIGO, etc.)• Strong understanding of MP&L / materials planning concepts• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments strongly preferred• RICEF development experience• Strong debugging skills• Experience with IDOCs and interface troubleshooting• Knowledge of MRP tables and inventory tables

• Strong communication skills (English mandatory)• Ability to work EST overlap hours• Comfortable in fast-paced stabilization environment• Able to support live manufacturing operations
