The Automation & Manufacturing System team at Modulus Singapore is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, system validation, plant modifications, and lifecycle management of automation control systems, Data Historian, digital connectivity tools and MES platform. The team works closely with internal stakeholders, global MSAT and engineering, and external vendors to ensure that the systems are robust, compliant, and continuously optimized to support cGMP manufacturing.
Main responsibilities:
Learning & Development
• Observe manufacturing operations and attend weekly automation meetings
• Complete training on procedures, systems, and access protocols
• Review technical documentation and automation standards
Shadowing & Support Activities
• Shadow engineers during on-call troubleshooting and GEMBA walks
• Learn automation issue resolution and intervention processes
• Participate in DeltaV DCS change management
• Support system validation activities and testing for changes and projects
• Attend small project scoping workshops
• Assist with deviation investigations and CAPA development
• Assist engineers with document redlining and testing changes
Process Unit Ownership
• Specialize in a specific process unit (e.g., Chrom skid, UFDF)
• Work with assigned engineer on data gathering for deviation investigations
• Conduct root cause analysis
• Scope and drive small automation projects from start to finish
About you
Education:
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Skills:
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to collaborate across teams and cultures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge on SQL database is added advantage
