We are currently seeking candidates for our Sanitation Technician position to work in our manufacturing plant in Redmond, WA. This full-time position(s) reports to the Sanitation Technician.
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, performs a wide variety of sanitation work in the warehouses, building interiors, administration areas, conference room, lunchroom, GMP area sanitization, and other areas as needed.
KEY JOB DUTIES
Empty trash, mop and vacuum floors of administration areas, conference room, lunchroom, reception area and laboratory room.
Mop and clean in warehouse areas as needed, while managing the use of mop head, buckets and floor scrubber.
Consistently strive to maintain a clean facility that conforms to food-grade guidelines.
Remove trash and recycling from the areas mentioned above.
Document and update cleaning documentation.
Assume responsibility for security checks on all building doors before leaving at night.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Physically able to do continuous bending, reaching and kneeling.
Clean large warehouse areas.
Sanitize large warehouse areas.
Perform monthly inventory of kitchen and janitorial supplies, as needed.
Excellent people skills and the ability to get along with a different mix of personalities.
Attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and pride in workmanship.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED.
Two or more years’ experience in a production or warehouse environment.
COMPANY REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
Maintain good attendance.
Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
