Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to ensuring duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to self, employees, and contractors.

Always maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping, safe work, incident/accident reporting & active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.

Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.

Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures.

Knowledge / Skills / Duties

Perform pre-operational and post-operational checks

Operate machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output

Safely and efficiently maintain stockpiles, dumps, ditches, haul roads the main haulage ramps to ensure flow

Ensure that all spillage is cleaned up and graded to an area where a scooper or loader can remove it

Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating tunnels, areas and roads

Lock-out and tag out as per regulatory bodies and company policy

Teamwork

Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals – both within own department and site wide.

Leverage of the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.

Follow instructions as per SOPs, guidelines and those provided by the shift supervisor

Planning & Organisation

Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.

Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues.

Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
