Position Type: Full-time regular
Shift: Afternoon Shift (Monday- Friday) 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Summary
The Sampler, Stock Control is responsible for supporting warehouse inventory control and material sampling activities within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that incoming raw materials and packaging components are properly inspected, sampled, documented, and tracked within the QAD ERP system in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
This position requires computer proficiency to perform transactions in QAD (Bimeda’s ERP system) and occasional use of Microsoft Word and Excel for warehouse documentation and administrative tasks. Tow motor/forklift certification is required.
Job Duties
Sampling Responsibilities
Perform all work in compliance with company safety policies, GMP/GLP, and SOPs.
Evaluate incoming raw materials and packaging components for visible defects or deficiencies and report findings.
Follow approved sampling procedures and plans when collecting samples.
Prepare required documentation and labels, ensuring full traceability in accordance with GMP practices.
Perform sampling of raw materials and packaging components as required.
Conduct basic identity testing of raw materials using FTNIR instrumentation.
Deliver samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
Prevent contamination and cross-contamination through proper cleaning of tools, use of appropriate equipment, and adherence to environmental controls.
Perform sampling in designated areas (e.g., sampling booths) as required by SOPs.
Verify that sampling tools and equipment are clean and suitable for use prior to sampling.
Maintain adequate inventory of sampling tools, materials, and consumable supplies.
Identify and report deviations, damaged materials, and procedural non-conformances
Inventory Control Responsibilities
Receive inbound and transferred materials and process transactions in QAD.
Perform inventory transactions to ensure accurate tracking of materials throughout their lifecycle.
Apply identification and status labels to raw materials and packaging components.
Ensure inventory records accurately reflect current material status.
Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
Maintain documentation and data integrity in accordance with GMP requirements.
Warehouse Operations
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and tow motors.
Complete daily equipment inspections and record findings.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness in accordance with housekeeping SOPs.
Document weekly and monthly cleaning activities in designated logbooks.
Support general warehouse operations to ensure efficient material flow.
Maintain organization and compliance within warehouse and sampling areas.
Compliance and Safety Responsibilities
Follow all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) during sampling and warehouse activities.
Maintain cleaning records for sampling areas, including complete, intermediate, and general cleaning as required by SOPs.
Contribute to a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical, Physical & Behavioural Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Tow motor/forklift certification and TDG certification.
Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment.
Experience with QAD or similar ERP systems is an asset.
Experience in sampling or material handling in a regulated environment is an asset.
Basic mathematical skills for accurate weighing and measuring.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective time management and ability to work under time constraints.
Customer-focused with a strong commitment to quality.
Sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
Positive team attitude with strong communication skills.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting and manual handling tasks.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Beaverdale and Pinebush locations.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
Working Conditions
Manual dexterity required to operate sampling equipment and warehouse tools.
Repetitive lifting and movement of materials up to 50 lbs.
Work performed in warehouse environments and sampling areas.
Exposure to noise, dust, odours, and fumes may occur.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
