Sample Preparer

SGS are seeking a keen enthusiastic person to fill the sample preparer role at our laboratory in Kalgoorlie. Good literacy, team playing, attention to detail and initiative are required. Full training is provided. This is not a FIFO position. Roster for this position is 4 days, 4 nights and 4 OFF - 10 hour days. Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to: Unloading, loading, sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form listing extras and those not received onto the sample sorting sheet Responsible for milling samples and transferring sub-samples to sample packets while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures and avoiding contamination. Responsible for offloading of sample and stock deliveries and reconcile the deliveries. Responsible for sample clearances after completion of analysis and collecting of samples from the storage yard when requested

As the successful candidate you will have: Forklift License (Desirable) Previous Laboratory experience (Preferred) Teamwork and cooperation with effective communication Physically fit due to required tasks. Meet site access requirements (ie: training, induction and medical requirements)
