The Position: We’re looking for a Retail Sales Specialist! 

 

Responsibilities:

Lead others with positive leadership and enthusiasm. Be a cultural leader and set a comfortable and exited tone to team members and guests.

Create team fun & interactive incentives to help the team reach sales goals.

Provide an in-depth consultation experience to our service and retail guests to thoroughly educate them on the products they should be using at home.

Train and develop the Guest Experience & Nurtur Professional teams to be a high-performing sales team.

Have a deep understanding of retail sales strategies and create coaching sessions and training courses to develop these skills in others.

Ensure that each guest is informed of current promotions, Nurtur Rewards, and memberships. Ensure collateral for all promotions is merchandised throughout the salon & spa.

Encourage guest to leave a google review about their service experience and monitor results regularly. Always striving for excellence, make necessary improvements to the salon & spa operations.

Host regular events at the salon & spa to promote sales.

Work with the Marketing Team to ensure that in salon events, promotions and other materials that are required are requested and executed in a timely manner.

Working with the Operations Manager, ensure the salon and spa is stocked with appropriate inventory levels of essential supplies and products.

Ensure that all staff arrive on time, are in dress code, and are ready to create an unparalleled experience.

Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, providing personalized attention and assistance throughout their visit.

Coordinate guest appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and timely service delivery.

Monitor guest appointments throughout the day to address any potential delays or bottlenecks with appointments.

Provide recommendations for upgrading or adding services when appropriate to guests.

Oversee the Guest Experience area, including answering phones, responding to guest inquiries, and appointment book-management.

Ensure that the salon and spa atmosphere meet state board sanitation requirements and Nurtur Salon + Spa company standards throughout the day. Report any maintenance issues directly to the ‘Salon Repair’ Stream on Beekeeper and notify the Operations Manager or resolve the issue directly.

Create and maintain the Guest Experience as the Ultraceuticals Flag Ship Retail and Experience Center.

Directly handle guest concerns and inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Create a sense of urgency, delegate appropriately, and motivate self and other team members to accomplish objectives.

Effectively educate guests on policies, products, services, promotions, Nurtur Rewards, launches, and Tip for a Cause.

Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking salon supplies, back bar products, retail products, and equipment.

Assist the Operations Manager to conduct regular inventory audits to track usage, identify trends, and minimize waste.

Assist the Operations Manager with ensuring we stay within the hours budget for the Guest Experience team.

Serve as a role model by communicating and enforcing policies and procedures, safety and security standards, the Code of Conduct, and the dress code.

Responsible for visual merchandising to ensure premium representation, including promotional materials.

Conduct regular meetings with the Guest Experience Team and Service Professionals to ensure the team is motivated, educated, and informed.

Perform all duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs.

Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Retail experience required; experience in the beauty industry highly preferred

Comfortability in executing and closing sales

Exhibit initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work at a fast pace in a "high touch" environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

Strong commitment to customer service excellence and to the Company’s mission and vision

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Walk, stand up, and/or sit for up to eight (8) hours per day

Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms

Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear

See a computer screen and read paper and electronic documents

Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds

Tolerate a minimal to moderate noise level typical of a school setting

Travel Requirements: The team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training and events as necessary.
