Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team at Kirk Marine. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in fishing, a solid understanding of fishing gear and tackle, and a drive to provide outstanding customer service. You will assist customers in selecting the right products, offering expert advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with their product needs, providing knowledge and recommendations on fishing tackle, rods, reels, baits, and accessories.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the store's product offerings and industry trends to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
Help maintain store cleanliness and organization to ensure a welcoming environment.
Collaborate with the team to ensure an effective and efficient store operation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest fishing techniques and tackle trends to offer the best advice to customers.
Spooling reels with fishing line
Rigging lures for customers
Prepare quotes for customers.
Qualifications:
Strong passion for fishing and outdoor sports.
Must have previous retail or customer service experience, ideally in outdoor sports or related fields.
Knowledge of fishing equipment, gear, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries or complaints effectively.
Basic math skills and able to lift, bend, push and stand for long periods of time.
