The Sales Operations Manager, role supports the day-to-day execution of Sumo Logic’s revenue operations across the APJ region. This role partners closely with Regional Sales Leadership and global cross-functional teams to assist with headcount and capacity planning, territory planning, quota administration, forecasting, reporting, and policy adherence. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and focused on driving operational efficiency and consistency across the sales organization.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute operational programs in collaboration with APJ Sales Leadership, Channel, Finance, Marketing, and Legal teams. Builds strong working relationships with cross-functional partners across regions.

• Coordinate APJ sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting activities. Ensures timely and accurate reporting that supports regional sales effectiveness and informs leadership decision-making.

• Administer APJ quota assignment processes and ensure quotas are distributed accurately and fairly. Supports global compensation plan execution and collaborates with Accounting, Finance, and People Operations to clarify policies and processes.

• Monitor and maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and process consistency for APJ sales planning and reporting. Helps manage and distribute sales reports and dashboards; recommends improvements and assists in developing new reporting tools as needed.

• Identify and recommend APJ-focused process improvements within the sales workflow. Supports sales leadership in diagnosing process bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement efforts.

• Support implementation and adoption of enabling technologies, including CRM systems, for the APJ sales team. Ensures regional teams maintain required CRM standards and partners with sales management to enhance the impact of technology investments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years experience in Sales Operations, Sales Management, Channel Operations, Finance, Accounting, or Compensation Management

• Experience supporting an APJ sales team or international regional sales organization (preferred)

• Strong experience with CRM tools, especially Salesforce, and understanding of system functionality and data flow

• Strong analytical skills, including Excel proficiency, financial modeling, planning, and the ability to apply analytical insights to business decisions

• Demonstrated success supporting sales performance goals, quota execution, and compensation plan administration

• Experience participating in process improvement initiatives and supporting execution of cross-functional projects

• Strong project coordination skills, ability to manage multiple workstreams, and high attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational abilities
