Job Specification
To support the company goal of increasing revenue, whilst maintaining occupancy and driving ADR through coordinating group bookings and ensuring exceptional service for our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a key post and requires a 'hands on’ approach to ensure that we always live up to the brand expectation. The role also incorporates an element of administration for the Sales and Marketing Team as required.
Duties / Responsibilities
Support Sales Manager in regards to variety of sales & marketing tasks
Handling group / corporate event enquiries and converting them into bookings.
Compiling group/ event BEOs, Resume and liaising with all departments within the hotel to ensure arrangements are in place for all events.
Liaising with all suppliers and ensuring that their prices are competitive.
Be prepared to assist with the Events team in managing emails, filing, financial reports and where necessary
Support events even if this is over the weekend or at evening functions.
Representing the hotel as required at tradeshow events (local & overseas), on site entertaining of agents and tour operators though Site Inspections and Agent Dining of the three properties.
Provide analytic reports to the business concerning revenue, financials and also including web & social media as required
Identifying and evaluating new marketing opportunities to increase the website traffic and online production
Working as part of the team with Group General Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager and General Managers.
Support and assist the other areas of the Sales & Marketing Department such as Events, Groups and Reservations.
Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
Closely following up on all business leads and responding to emails within a 24 hour response time line to clients.
Strong and effective communication with all other departments; partnering to ensure property-wide service standards for our guests
Promoting a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring department standards are adhered to,supporting our department’s health and safety goals, reporting any property-wide concerns
Supports and champions environmental goals, leading by example
Takes a personal interest in ensuring the Vision, Mission and Credo are known and lived by
Be prepared to take on added responsibility or job tasks as required or defined by the Sales and Marketing Manager
Requirements
To be considered for the role you must have:
A minimum of 12 months experience within a similar role.
Excellent customer sales and service skills with focus on revenue generation.
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Excellent organisational skills.
A great personality and must enjoy the 'buzz’ of being busy.
The ability to work on your own and in a team.
Good computer skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
A keen eye for detail and a flare for design and creativity.
Must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Smart and well presented at all times.
Approachable, attentive, and instinctive.
Sales driven and able to confidently negotiate.
